About the session
Renowned scholarly publisher and pioneer of Open Access publishing, MIT Press recently embarked on a project to implement BiblioSuite publishing software across its entire business. Leaving disparate technologies and its pre-existing, siloed systems in the past, this project will seamlessly consolidate MIT Press' books and journals workflows into a single, unified, and fully integrated system, with a view to increasing the publisher's efficiency and productivity companywide.
Join MF Gydus (MIT Press) in conversation with Rodney Elder (Virtusales Publishing Solutions) as they discuss the project and its benefits in detail. The session will cover the full publishing lifecycle from acquisitions and product management through digital asset workflow and production, to contracts, rights, royalties and sales analysis.
In the ever-changing landscape of publishing, the importance of technological support is critical in navigating the supply chain and meeting emerging industry trends. This session will showcase the range of solutions available within BiblioSuite, and will shed light on the motivations behind this ambitious project
